Why Us ?
Inspired by her love of travel, design, and fashion, Laura brings a unique perspective to each wedding she plans—balancing elegance with individuality and ensuring her couples enjoy a seamless journey from first meeting to wedding day.
Laura’s career in weddings began while still in high school, working at celebrations in a countryside hotel near Biggar. She went on to study Business & Events Management at the University of the West of Scotland, graduating with a BA (Hons) in 2016, and gained international experience at a prestigious private country club in Martha’s Vineyard, USA, where her passion for refined service and destination celebrations was shaped.
On returning to Scotland, Laura joined Blythswood Square Hotel, Glasgow’s only five-star hotel, as Wedding Planner, where her talent and dedication were recognised with Wedding Coordinator of the Year 2020 at the Scottish Wedding Awards.
Since founding Laura McCranor Weddings & Events, Laura has built a reputation as one of Scotland’s leading luxury and destination wedding planners. Her work has been recognised with Best Destination Wedding Planner 2025 at the Scottish Enterprise Awards, and Highly Commended Wedding Planner of the Year 2025 at the Scottish Wedding Awards.
Laura oversees every wedding the agency undertakes, providing creative direction, strategic planning and expert guidance throughout the process. She is supported by a trusted and highly experienced team — Annie and Fiona, Wedding Coordinators; Lizzie, Assistant Wedding Planner; Jen and Ellie; Operations Assistant; and Jess, Content Creator.
